Chicago Cape Cod

You can tell a lot about someone by looking at their house. Not exactly a profound statement, I know. Sort of like saying you can learn a lot about a book by reading it. But still.

Someone lived in a pretty typical Chicago house, and had simple tastes.

Someone enjoyed the listening convenience of 8-track tapes.

Someone didn't need a lot of room to enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning, or the exercise possibilities in a single bungee cord.

Someone enjoyed metal working.

Someone enjoyed golf, and making and repairing his own clubs. Maybe his buddies', too.

Someone didn't need a lot to make him comfortable.

Someone hung on to this for a long time. I don't know what it is, but I'm not sticking my head in it.

Someone bought this, but never used it. They probably didn't know what it was for either.

Someone answered the door when they heard this ring.

Someone saw themselves here every day.
